UD Almería will begin the renovation of its stadium in July. The second phase of these works will start in the second half of July, after an adjustment in the original planning due to the team's participation in the play-offs for promotion to La Liga.
A Strategic Plan for the Future
The club had planned to start the works immediately after the end of the regular league phase. However, the celebration of the play-offs has considerably limited the time available to carry out the works during the summer.
The first phase will take place throughout the 2026/2027 season, allowing official matches to continue being held at the UD Almería Stadium. The work will focus on the available spaces in both backgrounds, ensuring that there is no impact on the current seats and maintaining visibility for all spectators.
Future Projections
The second phase will begin at the end of the 2026/2027 season and will consist of a series of important modifications, such as the lowering of the playing field by about six meters and the elimination of current metal stands. Additionally, new stands will be built in these areas and the new field will be connected to the drainage system already advanced during the first phase.
